Celica Forums General Discussion Engine and Performance 1zz-fe N/A build up...in an Echo!

Hey Guys, Whats up..Well i got a pretty good deal on a 1zz on ebay..$500.00 shipped total engine (including ecu and the other crap).Anyhow ive done some research and found some of the info i needed but im left with some unanswered questions.I want to build a high comp. 1zz.

What i need to know now is..

-lightweight lobey cams...heard they should have some foe this engine..true?
-internals..anybody make a bored/forged piston for the 1zz?..stroker crank?
-pulleys?..aem would be the ones that dont mess up youre engine, right?
-headers..who to go with?..brash..tpr?
-What are stock injectors rated at?..can i replace them with GTS injectors?


i think thats about it..I going to have the head and mani port and polished and port matched..other than that, I think this will satisfy my hp hunger for the time being...if not some boost will help me on that one

pulleys wouldnt recommend getting for a daily driver, they take away ur harmoinc balancer and then ur crankshaft will shift back and forth like crazy because it has been worn out
for headers i wouldnt really recommend getting one since they dont really give you any power with other bolt ons unless you get the pfc
cant help you with the injectors
