I tried using the search and nothing came up. I also checked the install section and no AEM CAI guide. I know that the injen and AEM are similar, but i would still like to see a step by step of the AEM considering the manual it comes with has such shitty pictures. Also, I have a TRD front bumper and i can see where the filter is going to through the bumper. Should i get the Injen splash/heat guard or is there another way to keep water from getting in there.

Thanks.

It's pretty easy to follow the included instructions, it's self-explanatory. Are you having trouble with a particular part of the install?

About the splash/heat guard thing, save your money and use duct tape to block the holes in the wheel well if you're worried about getting water on the filter.

Just use the Injen guide. It's the same exact thing.

I am wondering about water comming in from the front part of the bumper where the filter is exposed. For example when you peek past the fog light the filter is right there. Has anyone had problems with this.

Thanks

I think I know what you're talking about. I'm a bit skeptical about installing my aem intake too since the full filter will be exposed when it rains. This past weekend I took the bumper off (was a pain: 2 screws on side, 4 on top, 8 on bottom) and took some measurements for the hole. I had left over weather plastics from my civic so I cut the shape of the hole. JB welded cut out plastic braces and it'll block that complete hole. I'll post some pics when I'm done with it. Is this the hole (the one all the way to the right next to the fog light) you're talking about?

by looking at the install guide alone (the injen one) its very easy to install the AEM CAI, ive already memorized it and cant wait for the weather to no longer be rainy. the only problem i have so far is the removal of the stock airbox, but im sure its pretty easy as well, i just got to study the removal guide. thumbsup

BTW the problem you have about the filter and the holes on the foglight section shouldn't be a big deal, just cover it up. now the problem is if you've removed the engine plastics underneath and if you have an aftermarket front bumper with big openings, like my blitz front. just make a home-made splash guard from either big soda bottles or milk gallons spineyes thumbsup
