I had just purchased a 2000 Celica GTS. I got a pretty good price and the dealer refused to fix some minor problems. First of all, does the GTS have ABS? Maybe a dumb question, but it didn't come with an owner's manual. All of the ABS fuses are there, but the ABS light doesn't even come one when you start the car. Also, my crusie control doesn't work. The light comes on, and i set it, but then it doesn't do anything. Is there a fuse for this? I noticed that there were a lot of things in the fuse panel that i didn't understand (the abbreviations that is) Any pointers to those would be great too. Also, my windshield wiper fluid doesn't pump. I checked the fuse for this and there is no noise of a pump running when i use it. Perhaps the pump? I also need to new bars that lift the hatch (don't know what they're really called) because the hatch doesn't stay up. Any idea where i could get these? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Mine doesn't have ABS so the anwser to ABS is it depends.
As for a owner's manual I will scan mine in if you need to see something and save it as a pdf.
As for the washer pump. I had a problem with it too and it was under warranty and they replaced it for free. My problem was the sprayer nozzles were leaking while going down the highway at 55 mph.
As for the shocks on the rear trunk door, mine don't hold well when it is very cold out. I think it has to do with the grease in them.

Florida region GTS cars don't necessarily come with ABS and it'll save you about $3k from what I've seen over a GTS with ABS(Not that you need it...Ive yet to have it on a car).

Yep - ABS, side airbags, premium wheels are about the only OPTIONS on the GTS

Well I have a GTS and it did come with an ABS , I think it is easy to find out remove your battery and if ever you see like a metal cube with some small metal tubing then I guess you have ABS. I'll try to post some pic.

I was just wondering do we have a complete owner's manual that is downloadable ??? When I bought my car I did have an owner's manual but it was in Japanese confused angry.

i had some these problems too when i bought my gts. my winshield didnt spray also, it ended up being a combination of cloged hoses and nozzels. you can just take them off and clean them. as for the hatch struts the only place i could find them was toyota and they wanted 112 dollars a piece. they will be covered under warranty though if you still have one hope that helps and good luck wink
