...get a hole in their power steering hose from it rubbing on the engine? Well, I did! And the worst part is that it's 2 days before I'm supposed to have it shipped!! angry

OMG!! Fluid was spraying all over everything. Then it got on the exhaust and started to smoke!! I can't believe this is happening frown I'm going to call toyota tomorrow and see if they have the hose in stock. Hopefully, they'll be able to put it on for me real quick. I'ld do it but it's in a hard to reach spot right behind the engine. I tried putting a rubber hose and clamp around it today, but I couldn't fit my hands in there good enough. Ah, and I also kept burning myself!! I got so frustrated with it after a little while and stopped caring if I got burnt. Still couldn't get it on though cry What a shitty day...

Had the exact same problem a couple weeks ago. Took it to toyota and it was fixed in about an hour.

EDIT*

mine wasnt as bad though. there was just a tiny hole from where it had been rubbing...thankfully it didnt spray all over the place.

Haha the hose is aluminum. Anyways, I called Toyota and they are such fuckin dicks over there. I told her whats going on and that they can fix it real fast. And she still acts like they are all busy over there and might not have time angry

Is this a common problem then? I wonder if I should take mine in and have it checked.

You don't have to take it in. Just look behind your engine on the left side. There should be a skinny metal hose that comes up and curves at the top. Then runs back down.
