Hey, I know there was a discussion about The Turbos for the GTS's and I lost the link for it, but what would somebody recommend for me to get, cause I would like to get that extra 100hp if I could, but with the mods thats out there for the GTS's is it possible to get a 100hp outta thos mods before getting that Turbo? because I wanted to try and see if that engine can handle 300hp, if its possible?

But anyways...u aren't gonna get 300HP in a celica with just a turbo...and the tranny won't hold that much torque anyways

So how would I go about gettin that Tranny to handle the toruqe, I mean a friend of mine is sending his Celica off somwhere, I forget the place, but he's sending his Car off to a place we're give them 15grand, for that stage 3 turbo and they will give you ur desired hp you want for that Celica, I have the link and they place you can get this information at, well you might have to called them about how much to ship it, and how much its gonna cost to get ur hp you want.

why don't you buy a high performance car if you want something fast...your spending just as much with all these mods for the celica as you would with a 350z or something.

Im also tring to hit 300 with a 01 GTS right now I have 220.1whp and 198.7lbs tq which should equate to about 255 to the flywheel. stock clutch will be fried at 200whp if you like to drive hard. Right now Im working with a shop to install the xs kit and if you have a gts first thing you need to know is that 11.5 to 1 comp will be hard to turbo if the car is a daily. If you have a gts and want to turbo here are some must haves.
1. TRD LSD or other company
2. 3mm HG no thicker or you will burn through it ( this will bring the comp down to 9.7 to 10.0 to 1
3. make sure you get the apexi stand alone with the kit I think they only sell it with it but not sure.
4. you must upgrade your fuel pump the best one to use and is a direct replacement will be out of a supra TT (you can get from toyota for about $250 and is good up to 600hp.
5. spend some money for a good clutch/flywheel
I have an RPS 9lb flywheel and their 6 puck sprung clutch and RPS throughout bearing and love them.
6. Plan on upgrading your exaust to allow the turbo to reach max performance.

Outside of the basic things you will do to a turbo a car this will be a good start. By the way the xs kit will make 251.7 whp on a GTS

call me a moron, but i bought my celi coz i luv it to bits and theres no car in the world that i would trade it in for. i had the option of getting anything up to about the price range of a SLK mercedes and i still went fer the celi. so for me, any money spent on the car is worth it. my 2 cents anyway.
