I was reading the reviews of both CAI on this site, AEM and Injen..whats the difference between the two? They are both rated thesame. And, can i actually have one installed in a 6th generation celica GT? I went to a site..http://www.coximport.com/aem/inductionapps.html and they seem to have all different types of CAIs...Are the CAI different depending on the make and model of the car?

Of course, CAIs are different from a model to another. The shape of the piping is based on the ''easiest way down'' to cold air usually. I don't really know what a 6th gen engine looks like but if it's different than a 7th gen ( And I'm sure it is ), there is definatly a CAI with a shape built for your gen. Now about Injen and Aem... Aem is said to be good on lower rpms power outpout and injen at higher or is it the opposite... Just look around the posts. grin

plus the TPR intake is only for the 7th gen so far.

if i remember correctly, AEM makes Injen. but its jsut that one brand focuses on different points...ie aem-low end and injen-high end. thumbsup

that 5SFE has a pretty decent low end as is. I'd go with Injen if that makes high end...or I could just make one since I have another GT around my area...

Ok Clyde, I might suggest you make a custom CAI. A 2.5"-2.75" pipe with a K&N filer. It would cost you about $20-$40 + filter. You can get the pipes mandrel bent at any shop that does mandrel bends. Don't get crush bend. AEM doesn't make a any intake sytems for the 6th gen. There aren't many aftermarket products for the 6th gen. I know, I used to own one until a month ago.

Also I might suggest going to www.6gc.net [6gc.net] there are many knowledgable people that have down a lot of custom work on the 6th gen celi. Check it out.
