Hi all,

I'm considering converting my now redundant OEM foglights on my 2002 Celica GTS to DRLs.

With that in mind I'm exploring the use of a LED equivalent to the OEM H3 bulb.

I've noticed there are available LED H3 bulbs, and there are LED H3 bulbs.
It appears there's no sizing standard for the LED H3 equivalent regarding base to tip of the array length.

Two questions:

Has anyone converted the OEM fogs H3 to LED and what is the max length that will fit in the OEM fog housing.

Is there a particular manufactures stock number I can go straight to that will fit and has reasonable DRL brightness?

Thanks all

LEDs produce less heat but you still have to worry about the focal center. LEDs also pull a lot less current. You may have to install resistors in the lead wires to keep the computer working correctly.
I put LED back up lights on my car with no modifications and had no problems except the LEDs I bought were cheap and did not have a lumens or wattage rating. As luck would have it, they were not as bright as the old incandescents. My advice, check the specs and compare them to the OEM's.
