the AC ones I got came with pieces of 3m round tape, obviously probably to secure the overlay gauge face to the stock and should I use it or will it be ok without the tape? And also, is it necessary to attach the red and black wires to the parking lamp assembly? Or is there another location because why would they make them so short? help

well thanks for all the replies I got, they helped a lot spineyes
ha, I got them installed though, took me a good 2 and a half hours. Probably because I took my time and had no clue what I was doing and I just wanted everything to be neat, but it all worked.
The only question left is when I turn my lights on, the gauges flicker once, then light up, is that ok? And another thing is it normal for the small module box it came with to make a small droning noise when they are on? The drone changes when you change the color of the lights on the gauges.

I hooked my red and black wires to the ignition. I think it was actually white and black, but in any case it works.. I didnt use the tape and it works fine

you dont have to use the tape - im not sure why they uncluded it for the celica model gauges, because they already sit quite firmly into place... but other cars where there are three seperate overlays such as honda or mitsubishi, then I can understand this usage...

as for where to hookup at... I usta have everything hooked to the cig lighter, but since I also added PSX, interior neon, video cams and a whole MESS of other useless things - I went back and followed the custom install directions at...

and here are install instructions for sliding the gauges on... WITHOUT taking the needles off...
