I did a search, but, since I don't know the name I didn't find much.

What exactly does that black plastic tubing that goes into the ECU do? It goes down from the ECU to behind the air box, but, I have no idea what it does and my dealer said "Where's the ECU on a celica?" thumbsdown

BTW, why I ask is that my is often loose, and sometimes the two pieces are seperated. I am wondering if this is a possible cause of my CEL.

Aslo, the bottom piece (of the two) seems to be attached to nothing, I can move it around from side to side, should it be attached to something?

its actually a cooling pipe. air flows in and "cools" the ECU. kinda like CAI...lol in a different way thumbsup thumbsup

thats what I was thinking...

is it possible that this being loose could cause a CEL?

I'm still having CEL problems and I'm putting everything back to stock and trying to figure this out since my dealership thinks I leave my gas cap off on my car *WTF*

Nooo i don't think it would throw a CEL...it just cools in hot temperature days thumbsup

yea, it's just a pipe.
It couldn't trigger a CEL...
