Sounds like an old Camry or Celica-Supra/Cressida engine.

That's just a waste of money. I guess being original is more important than being sensible.

the 7mgte engine is a 88-92 Turbo supra engine and i definity dont think that there is any way in hell that engine can fit in the 7th gen Celi engine compartment 6cylinder in a 4banger's spot? 1.8 liter to 3 liter?

I would not reccommend a 7m for anything, period. I own a 88T Supra, it's not running right now. They just plain suck, if a strait six would fit I would go for the 1jz, combined with it's excellent bore/stroke and the wieght of the celica, it would make one hell of a car.

the 7m-ge & 7m-gte are pretty reliable I got about 140k out of each I previously owned before the head gasket / tranny's went...and part of that was my fault laughsilly , what's wrong with yours? Check your trottle body sensor...
But in response to the original comment I dont think either the 7m or 1jz I-6's would fit, these engines run hot and need space, thats why the 7m's were plagued with head gasket probs due to heat build up near the rear cyl's under stress, but once replaced with a metal head gasket the probs were minimal to none, then there is the cost for converting a rear wheel drive to front lots of $$$$$ go buy a MkIV supra hehhehe and put "celica" badges next to the supra logo on the back since the celica spawned the supra grin
