Alot of people have opted for my v9 redout Taillight kit. It's a red tinted vinyl overlay that covers just the amber part of the lense. Looks really nice...and cheap too!
I'd sugest using Bat's overlay kit for the pure fact that its a job to remove the tail lamps without loosing any screws... and then re-installing the lamps is another job ontop of that
It's not just your imagination... Your day really does go by twice as fast while on EverythingCelica.com
yeah.. removing those tails.. what a job... i had to remove all the rear panels just to get to one nut? how bout you guys?... man bat, i wish you had those vinyls before i decided to paint my tails.
BTW...Anyone know a good and effective way to remove the paint? or at least one layer? because the last layer of paint i put on mine came out weird.. because i put the last layer on when it was cold at night.. so the paint is sorta rough instead of glossy
I opened the panels enough to squeeze them out, I was finished in 45 mins or so. I did'nt think it was that bad. I had an older can of paint so I'm gonna do them over, got a couple of small clumps on one light. I can feel them but not see them, kinda picky about that stuff. Denatured alcohol will strip the paint & not harm the plastic but I think that it will strip all of it.

i had the same problem. i put 3 coats on each and the first two coats of paint were perfect and the last one just made everything nasty looking... i've been meaning to redo my tails better but its too much work... im lazy these days
