I know this has been posted before, but I can't find it with the search. I blew it off back then because of the "it will never happen to me" syndrome...
With my clutch out in the car in gear there's a sound like a belt squeeking, consistantly. However, if I barely touch the clutch (moving it about 1 cm) without disengaging the engine, the squeeking stops.
Anyone know what this is? Or could you help find the post that refers to it?

Ahhh... I wouldn't doubt it if a belt was acting up. The car has 46k miles on it and never had the belts checked. Hope the dealership doesn't charge me a fortune for it...

might be a worn belt Nate.
I had a worn drive belt, and the car squeeked like a bitch for 15 minutes when it was cold out...
$150 later...

Yeap... mine squeeks in the morning too, especially when it's cold. It's really really loud and obnoxious. I should probably have them check that too... *sigh* I'm getting new tires today $500... Then god knows what for the belt fixes... Sucks to spend money on "maintenance" stuff otherwise I could get a CAI and some springs

They did the TSB on my belt tensioner and it still squeaked like a pig. It makes me want to sell my damn car because I hate dealing with this stupid issue. I bought a little spray can of belt dresser to kill the squeak noise. You should try it.

Yeah, I had the belt tensioner replaced too and it still squeaked, but not nearly as bad as before. Ill have to try that.
