I am thinking of getting an Ultra SS pulley set (crank, alternator, and water pump) for my gts. They say that up to 14hp on top end and 15 ft lbs at low end eek. Anyone know anything about the set???

This has been covered a couple times...but i'm almost positive you don't get that much HP or torque out of that thumbsdown

you get a good gain, but I don't know how much. It's been covered on this site before. Good luck in your search, happy hunting!

Well i am sure that those numbers are at the flywheels, and not true wheel horsepower numbers. THe wheel horsepower i saw was between 5.8 and 7.1 hp, 8.4 and 11.1 ft lbs. So that is still a good gain for around $300. I'll keep checking around the site. Does anyone have them???

I agree you gain some things but lose other things with a pulley...if you have a stereo in ur car...DO NOT GET THIS. And it takes forever for ur heater to get goin in the winter grin

that good to know, but the celica is up for the winter and as far stereo, i just have an aftermarket head unit, and some infinity speakers. No amp or 12 in the trunk, that is just dead wieght and slows you down. i would think that it would be alright with just a head unit.

Alright yesterday i was asking about this pulley set. Well i went out last night and flipped thro the new "Turbo" Magazine, and in the mag, there was a little review of this pully set. They said that it only gave them 2.9 wheel hp. Is this true??? $300 for 3 hp is not a good investment. let me know what you think.
