i think you should paint it. personally, i kinda think it looks like you didnt have enough money to paint ur hood. what color is ur car? because you can like not paint the middle part of it that leads to ur hoodscoop, that way some people still know you have one. i think it looks cool like that. but if i were to get one, id paint it.

or you can have a color woven into it. it costs about $100 extra. so, you could have a spec blue celica with a kevlar colored Carbon Fiber hood

I got to admit that carbon fiber hoods aint my thing either. I think a car looks better with a normal hood. Just my 2 cents, I know some people like carbon fiber hoods, but I just don't. I agree with redracer, sell it to someone who likes carbon fiber hoods and get yourself a normal one. thumbsup

Carbon Fiber can't be painted, far as i know... color can be woven in during the manufacturing process, but other than that you can't change it... it can't be sanded and prepped for paint like fiberglass etc... far as i know at least...

i want to have a carbon fiber hood for the good performance aspect,i just want to leave extirior looking completly stock for a while, so when i race people will underestimate like a mother fucker and wont know what hit em, one more question. is it true that if you get a lightweight flywheel theres a chance my transmission could blow and send gears flying into the cockpit?

Yes! you can paint Carbon fiberhoods. If you look at the APR GT300 widebody celica, we painted the hood same color of the car and we left the middle part as is just to show people that we used a Carbon Fiber hood. If you do not like the black hood look, You can get a fiberglass hood and paint over it. It cost less than carbon fiber but you pay extra for painting it. You get more point in shows if you have a Carbon fiber hood and paint it.
