thanks everyone. put a smile on my face to hear compliments. Ok, for the window light, i switched the LED. (used one of Hammer's Blue LCD leds, or you can buy a red OR orange LED from me for $1 ea). Soldering necessary. I also switched the AC and Defroster LED's to blue instead of the stock green and orange leds (u can use 5mm or 3mm LEDs for this mod). The gauges are AC Autotechnic. I don't know if they come in km/h (good luck, canadian(s)). I might post installs for (1)switching the window power LED and (2)painting needles and (3)switching the AC & Defroster LEDs. tell me what you think.

For noobs that haven't taken much apart yet, there is a lack of detail on how to take it out besides, "Remove the switch unit and open it up." I had posted on that install how to take it out, but it got deleted.

All you have to do is follow the first few steps of this and you will see a screw holding the switch box in.
Do not attempt to short any nodes out or operate on this while the car is on. I fried a chip on mine and had to buy a new box for $130.

I will post a pic of my gauges at night soon. They still light up. I changed the back LEDs to red, so the needles are red at night and white during the day.

I ruined the circuit board, but the replacement part is that entire enclosure including the switches and the plastic around them.

Well, I was purposly shorting it out to see if there was a way to get the passanger side to auto up and down too. It is possible, but it involves adding a circuit with a 555 timer.

Well, I just want to say that I love to work on cars (especially the celica), so if anyone lives in Florida and needs help with a mod... I'm game. My mods: TRD Exhaust, AEM CAI, LED madness, reverse indiglo gauges, rear-fill sticker, custom self-made box, clear corners, painted console & accents, floor neons (rice?), many others.

I did the exact same thing with all the led's in the interior-mine are all red(all gauge led's,turn signals, high beam led, indicator that lights when low beams are on,AC led's,lighter led, trans position led, power window led, and 4-led dome light-a perfect mood light) I even made my led's in my in-dash Kenwood equalizer/xover red. I found that blue led's were too dim. It looks smooth. I'll post pics soon! cool I didn't want to mess with the leds in my Pioneer TV-but someday I have a lot of time I'll think about that too.
