i was wondering about using a motorcycle exhaust system on my car? i got a spar one and was just curious on how it would do on a car? ive got the time and the tools to hook it up.
would it sound cool or would it sound like homer simpsons ass on a toilet?
what would the gains be if any, or is this just a stupid thing to do, this just crossed my mind because i dont have much money and rather than buying a new exhaust system why not use the stuff i got.
by the way its a jbl motorcycle exhaust.
let me know what you guys think or any pointers would help.

Just kidding, I guess it would work if you rig it. I don't know about the sound. I can't say people wouldn't point and laugh. If you do it, let me know how it turns out.
I'd love to hear this one, just get some extra pipe to bypass the stock muffler and make it reach the end, get a video camera or at least something to record sound, and let us hear it, i'm dying to hear the sound. As for gains i don't know if there would be much if any, depends on how big the pipe is.
Did I confuse you? Motorcycle exhaust's have baffles in them to reduce noise and create back pressure much like a car muffler the less baffles the more noise and power and vice versa only with more baffling it will get hotter. Being that the exhaust was designed for a motorcycle it disperses heat by being out in the open in the free air as opposed to being under a car with less airflow.

MBRP makes exhausts for the GTS, MBRP is better known for making motorcycle/snowmobile/ATV exhausts. Stands to reason an ehxaust from a critch rocket muffler would work. just realize this:
1: bikes don't meet the same noise limitations set for cars (bikes can be louder than 85 Db)
2: the muffler will probably have more restriction than a car-specific model, but it may also deliver more torque than say, a TSRM exhaust.
Find out the piping diameter of your exhaust can, you probably want to scale up the piping so it's like 2.5- 3" pipe. Get a two bolt flange. weld it all up they way you want and bolt it in place of your stock back section. Be sure to tell us the results, as this intrigues me.
where can i get piping for this mod? i need some extra piping i want to get good qualty stuff and do a good job. i forget what type of piping its called but it doesnt crip when its bent, i think it starts with an "M"
