Well, there are some of us that don't like paying up to 2 or 3 hundred dollars for a center console with a monitor opening in it when it only costs $40 in Japan. Now, I haven't successfully gotten one into the US for that price. So, I began brain storming... is there a way to remove the Hatch in the center console, sand it all down, and then make room for a monitor? I bought a used upper center console part to do the exact same thing. The great part is, you can fit a bigger monitor than a 5.6" in it

Sounds like a good idea. Give it a shot. Buy a spare though just in case it doesn't come out right.

I was thinking of trying that myself, because I got a nice new head unit and I don't want to go tearing it out and replacing it already, but I do want some DVD action goin on.
