I know i saw a thread a while back that showed how to remove the needles on our gauges and get rid of the orange part so they are clear. I tried searching but couldn't come up with anything. anybody know how to do it or know where the thread is?

Dude...I was just about to make a post about how to do this, that's freaky! Anyways, yah, I remember the post and apparently you use clear nail polish remover to make them clear. The question I have is I don't want to remove the needles like the post stated. Can I slip something under them to keep the remover off the cluster and then apply it to the needle while it's still on?

I believe you use brake parts cleaner

whatever you do, DO NOT LET IT SIT ON THERE

you will melt the needle and have to buy a new cluster

try putting the remover on a q-tip and then applying the remover that way. it might take a lil longer but you don't have to remove the needles and since its only a q-tip, you only have a minimum amount of remover

how hard are the clear needles to see? I'm thinking of getting a new gauge face and I need to know if I'll still be able to see them.
