I've just gotten my beautiful Celica GTS and have many plans for it already. What I want to know right now is about MTEC headlight bulbs that are offered at the CelicaStore. I want something right now as a substitute for HIDs. HIDs are out of my range as of this time, I will save for true HIDs later. For the ones that already have these MTEC headlight bulbs, how are they? Are they that bright as in the pics provided by the CelicaStore? Do you have pics of your car with the lights? These bulbs are 65/45=130/110 lighting temperature output of 4350k? How satisfied are you with these bulbs? I have heard that some have even mistaked them for true HIDs. Sorry for the long write up, I just need final thoughts to make my decision on the purchase of these bulbs. Even thought I have searched and read all of the threads on MTEC, I need my fellow Celica owners to give me their opinions. Any input would be much appreciated.

get the Super Lighting Package from the ECelica store...you wont be disappointed. Your brights turn into white police spotlights...normal lights are very bright and the white makes the car look even better. A MUST BUY!

i dont have any pics of them yet.

They are very good and will last you a long time. Not to mention that they are a beautiful blueish/whiteish color, and that they blind the people that look into them. thumbsup

If someone decides to post some pics-please post seperate with the three below if possible or you can post any pic of your car with the MTECs:

-1)normal low beam
-2)hi beam
-3)fog light

Thanks

GENUINE JDM BULBS (MADE IN JAPAN)
BY MARUTA SHOJI CORP. (MTEC)

CONSUMING 55W --> PRODUCING 100W

Unlike some other high wattage bulbs which will burn the wirings, these MTEC bulbs are standard wattage ones which are the same as the stock ones, but they output even brighter and whiter than other high wattage bulbs because MTEC bulbs are made to be the newest generation in the market.

The bulbs are Made in JAPAN!!! MTEC bulbs are rated at the same class as PIAA in Japan. They are NOT some cheap bulbs you see on the market. The bulbs are made with the latest technology and highest quality.

The white light closly matches that of sunlight.

Specialized for racing. Extra long life. Simple fabrication.

Thanks for the links, but I have actually viewed and read all of those (excluding your car gallery)before starting the thread. I would more prefer night pics of the lighting even though one gallery you listed already had them but they are too close. Is this one at high beam?-

I still gotta order my dang MTECs... been lagging on the mods.

Btw, did everyone here who bought MTECs replace the fog lights as well? It has always been my understanding that amber lighting is the best to cut through fog (as if thats what they are used for anymore). tongue

If you think MTEC's are good, try HID's. MTEC's are great bulbs.

My thoughts on MTEC's: never buying them again. The fogs burned out way to early. My fogs went out after 3 months. I have been given reasons(excuses) as to why they may have burned out early; i touched the housing when i installed them; i hit the housing against something when i installed them; it's my driving conditions. I was so damn careful when I installed them. I acted like I was handling a bomb. WHATEVER, I am never going with MTEC's again. I think I am going to go with PIAA.
