I bet they stop on a dime. they actually stop TOO good. I pressed the pedal a little harder (I was used to having to slam on them) and I gave myself a choke with the seatbelt. However, they are squeaking a little bit, and when I come to a full stop, sometimes it feels like the rotor/pad is "grabbing" and the pedal feels weird. Probably go away after they get broken in

when you take off the rotor, you will just need to use some brake parts cleaner and some elbow grease. Or, you could just paint over it

I had to SCRUB for 2 hours to get them all clean.

If you save time now by just painting over the dirt, you'll regret it in the long run when you have to strip it all off later and repaint.

hey guys i have this problem with a brake dust build up on my brake calipers. so i have to redo them every spring. so my nice red should look like the brake calipers posted in this post but they look like shit. i'm getting sick and tired of painting them over and over again. right now they look maroon in color. i wash my car once a week and detail the calipers, however i can't get the grime off of it. is there something i can spray on top of the calipers, once i paint it again this coming spring, that will resist brake dust build up, or perhaps while let the brake dust slide off easily when i wash it. plz help. oh by the way i use 1200 degree safe engine paint. see if you guys can help me with this. because this whole process is so time consuming and i'm becoming very discouraged by this. thnx for all the help you can give me

slik well, I'd suggest stripping your calipers (if you use brake parts cleaner, it comes RIGHT off) then, give them 3-4 coats (I did) also, switch to a low brake dust pad (do you have trd?)

no i don't have trd pads. but i didn't know that pads will make a difference in such a thing. n e ways. i clean 'em very good every time and not to mention hours of scrubbing. but i hate the build up of brake dust. i'll try the trd pads, but there has to be some kind of spray that you can do over the final product that will resist the brake dust. my older brotehr just got an infinity g35 and his brembo brakes are sweet. his calipers are colored and you can't see n e brake dust buildup on those. y?

brake dust comes from the brake pad as it desinigrates. My brake pads are carbon ceramic and expell a lot of dust because they wear down faster than the normal pad. They also grab a hell of a lot harder and aren't subject to brake fade which is when your pads and rotors get hot.
