GT has VVTi
GTS has VVTL-i

No limiters, except the engine wink

GT does about 130
GTS does about 145-150

only limit is the length of road! thumbsup

in the 02, the engine will not rev past redline (this occurs in EVERY gear)

in other model years, you can rev passed redline to 8350 RPM (helps to land at the VVTL-i engagemnet point in a GTS)

The same goes for the GT, only the redline/cutoff is lower!

I don't know about automatics, I'd never driven/seen a celica, and I'd assume anyone with an auto wouldn't be interested in seriously racing, so over revving would be pointless.

the 02 onl has the low rev limiter.

There isn't a "best" tranny. the 99-05/00 have a differetn tranny than the rest. my car has this, the gate is tigher. I happen to like it, but if you aren't a PRO at driving it, you can blow it or break it very easily.

only if i can choose to buy which transmission i will...but i can't. and dont give me that learning stick is easy reason, there is no difficulty in learning stick for me, just that there is situation that i had to take the auto...

i beleive that to correctly drive a sports car, you need a manual. otherwise its just a car with sporty looks. imo.
