I don't know what the hell happened! I changed my oil like I always do when all of the sudden I opened my moon roof to hear music. No problem! But then when I went to shut it, nuthin'! It won't close, and know the clock doesn't hardly lite up if at all, it keeps reseting to 1:00 when I start my car and the dome light and trunk lights no longer work! I don't know what the hell is going on. I went to the dealer ship and believe this, the said I was sol! WTF

Also, check to see that your roof fuse isn't blown.

Check out this diagram of the fuse boxes to locate the possible problematic fuse.

on page 2 of this diagram, your sunroof fuse will be fuse #2 thumbsup

but imo, if it was the fuse...it shouldnt be affecting the rest of his car. (unless of course there are multiple fuse problems..which is unlikely)

yo dude check this out, it was not only the moon roof fuse, but it was all of those five prong japanese fuses ( i think there are four of them) I took it to 2 toyota dealers to have it fixed. the 1st one ripped the headliner out and said it wasn't the fuses but the motor and burn wires, but they couldn't get it shut untill two weeks later. so after four days of not being able to close my moon roof i went to another dealership. he replaced the fuse and vwala, i was pimpin once again and my clock worked too. sweetness. some toyota mechs are pretty retarded! spineyes

I can tell you for a fact that it is a fuse this happens to me all the time. It is one of the large fuses in the fuse box by the glove compartment. You should have a spare in the fuse box under you hood. Im not sure of the #'s.

Leson learned:
First of all: check for blown fuses... 80% that's the cause of sudden failures thumbsup
BTW you can do it bu yourself it's even easier if you have the owners manual ($15 dealer) and you're gonna save LOT$$$ rolleyes
