When you install a new s2000 antanna will there be any difference in how good of a reception that you would get from the stock antanna?

no difference... I still get radio from Mexico while in Los Angeles and I still get SantaMonica College radio while in San Diego... and I always get stations while on my way to Las Vegas grin

Some Honda dealers don't have S2000 parts in stock if there aren't many in the area.

its possible...but you have to replace the base too and that's a lot more difficult. you have to switch from a GTS power antenna base (and antenna) to a non power base. Its not worth it IMO.

it's really not worth it. plus the only real reason ppl get s2000 antennas is to get the shortest antenna possible (the less antenna the better) and with the power antenna you are already doing better than the s2000.

unless you are a devoted listener of radio and are concerned about how your antenna looks...imo its definately better to keep your power antenna.

well, thanks to the holidays and such i will have to wait till next friday to get it in from the dealer sense they only order parts to have them delivered with their weekly shipment of parts and such, but sense they dont carry or have or have even sold a honda s2000 or a part to a s2000 till i came along it will take a little while to get in. and i will be using loc-tight though (dont want anyone to be stealing it). if i can get my digital camera to start working right i will post pics of my car with and without the antenna when i get it in.

The worst experience of someone atempting to take my antenne was at the car wash, i was watching him the whole way through he tried as hard as he could to unscrew it (loc tight baby) and finally gave up when i caught him trying to take it...Bitch never went there again!! (by the way it was a waterway gas/wash with all teenagers working there)

There's a lot of rice where I live and almost NO ONE does there own shit. Which is really pathetic. So in my area people don't even know how to remove antenas I'd bet. Plus people basically leave my shit alone, except for someone who keyed my celi while I was parked at work. Might have been an accident from some beach chairs (I work at a beach side restaurant) but it still pissed me off angry. I don't like people messing with my car, or anyone elses for that matter. To quote Pulp Fiction, you don't fuck with another man's automobile, you just don't do it.

The only difference I heard was a freak pirate radio station that I picked up at work when I had the stock antenna and no else in their cars could. Anyway, after installing the S2000 I could no longer get that station and a little trouble with out of state stations that didn't have huge power or antennas. No big deal for me.
