sweet thumbsup i love widebody thumbsup and i love teh vents as well. as you can see from the pic posted by satoshi above, they look very clean when installed properly, even though it serves no purpose whatsoever.

do you you think it would be worth air resistance, if i'm trying to race

well as long as the vents have an exit (i.e. they exit by the brakes), resistance should be minimal. it's when air is allowed to build up and "fill" the vent that resistance plays a role.

in any case, the vents are so small that resistance is almost a non-factor even if they do not have an exit. unless you are extremely worried about performance, you'll be just fine.

i was thinkin about brake coolers also. it would work great

the MR-S has the side vents and they are functional brake coolers thumbsup

yeah, the sidevents would be able to catch enough air to cool the brakes effectively.

whats not known is why anyone would be driving so crazy as to actually need the sidevents to cool their brakes. unless you track race/autox...it's mostly a show mod whether they have outlets to the brakes or not.

i go on runs with my car up and down mountains and when the brakes get really hot they stop working...it would be a cool mod.

i was refering to roof scoops, i think it looks stupid on most cars unless your going full show, or have a mid engine vehicle, but i guess it does give a little aggressive touch to it

how wouldnt they? lets say you driving on a high speed on the freeway. you are cutting through wind/air and the air will go anywhere that there is space. wouldnt air go in through ur window if it was open? it would be worth it if ur braking on high speeds, especially with these holed rotors. all you need to have a sort of extension like a funnel or something better

you woulnd't need an extension. as you mentioned earlier if you crack your window you will get a LOT of air coming through..and those don't requir extensions.

in any case..the sidevents do stick out a little and the air that would be channeled to the brakes would be more than adequate imo.

i didn't hink about the window before, that should work great.

and also most mid-engine vehicles that have roof scoops are to cool there engine and some for there intake, oh and you missed one the NSX on 2f2f, that scoop was pretty big, but they didn't make it functional which sucks

the side vents on the nsx are funcitional, they are what provide air for the intake and allow airflow through the bay.

yeah, i can't stand scoops that aren't at least partially functional.
