Ok, I know that everyone is painting their dash, so I tried something else that was easier and looks just as good to me. I bought a vinyl kit off ebay for $18. Looks great and install time is about an hour if you take your time. Here are some pics. Tell me what you think.

I'll post some tomorrow night...here is the site I ordered from. Vinyl Overlay [rvinyl.com] It is $20 on here, but they do sell this product on eBay for a few bucks cheaper. I got mine in about 5 days priority mail.

I do have one of the gauge cluster, but it isn't a very good shot. The strips on the doors looked really bad b/c the doors are textured. It comes with a piece to cover the center console, but it looks bad too b/c of the texture. It's simple...don't use them. The other pieces are well worth the $20. The only thing I used on the door was the mirror control.

advantage: you can take it off anytime, looks great, and protects plastic under it.
disadvantage: its edges might wear out it could get dirtier than paint and harder to remove stuffs off it.
yet a perfect mod for under 20$.

It's not vinal. The vinal "carbon look" is just a checkered pattern that only looks like Carbon Fiber from really far away.

This is real carbon fiber, the actual woven stuff. The real deal. It is die cut to the shape of your center console and backed with adhesive tape so you can stick it on. thumbsup

Well... if you paint your Cabin plastics you will not be able to remove the paint w/o damageing plastic parts...
Same shit with Dash Kit...So do not be afraid... you'll be fucked any way. wave

If get what you want the first time, you may not have that problem.

BTW, using a heat gun or hair dryer helps a ton with taking off the vinyl.

Trust me hair dryer does NOT helps a ton... if you heat the vinyl to remove it.. it all stretch left and right...
If you use heat gun.. you'll totaly melt the vinyl...
I don't think you had experiences with vinyl...
Heat gun is NO NO, it's too hot for vinyl.. hair dryer is enough for vinyl...
