as some of you may know, ive been looking for a new stock downpipe for the last couple of months with no luck. so im considering other options. ive been thinking about switching from my trd muffler to the greddy exhaust at amss:

http://www.ares-server.com/Ares/Ares.asp?MerchantID=EVR00002&Action=Catalog&Type=Product&ID=10116610

in the picture it looks like it comes with the downpipe, muffler and pretty much the whole exhaust system. is this correct? my trd only came with the muffler. and i paid more for my trd.. also, will that exhaust sound good with the new downpipe? i dont want that ricey sound civics have, like the sound i used to have with a straight pipe running to my trd exhaust. if any of you have the whole greddy exhaust, let me know what you think. thank guys!

If you just want a new downpipe, or to get a little performance, just go to a muffler shop and have them take out the stock resonator and weld a matching pipe in place

i want a new downpipe because mine has been sliced and diced and the dumbasses at the shop weilded my o2 sensors on and they dont read correctly, resulting in a CEL, bad gas mileage and my car lags BAD when i floor it. its totally crap.

The picture you have there isn't even the GReddy exhaust for the celica. The GReddy for the celica is a two piece system that has a smaller muffler, and the other piece is almost the same size as the stock resonator.

I have greddy evo, here is a pic:

The pic you had was generic, probobly a honda, and thats not a "down pipe", it is the peace that goes around the suspension on a civic, integra, or prelude. The hondas exhaust is three piece and bolt directly to the cat.

Man keep your TRD, its awesome, the Greddy offers the same basic setup the TRD has.

IF YOU WANT A NEW MID SECTION OF YOUR OEM EXHAUST (THE PART THEY SLICED AND DICED) CALL YOUR LOCAL JUNCKYARD AND GET ONE OFF A WRECKED GTS.

hope this helps

the one pictured in the website looks like it's for a cat back style car, maybe for a supra.

thats just a reasonator... not a cat on the piping... that picture is a cat back exhaust for some type of civic.

awesome. thanx for all the help guys. i dont think a junk yard here in texas would have gts parts.. but who knows. i think i found someone that will send me their downpipe because they replaced it with an aftermarket. only thing is, its HUGE and he said no one will ship it for him. but just like a day ago he said he could probably get it shipped. and hes only charging me like $75 shipped. so wish me luck smile if that doesnt go thru, im going to go to the muffler shop and have them replace the o2 sensor slots with new piping then re-drill the holes. then ill go to toyota and buy a pair of new o2 sensors and hopefully they will screw in and everything will be fine. only time will tell shocked
