same price to paint...

urethane will tend to warp over time in hot weather and the paint ususually will peel off if something happens...

fiberglass won't warp and the paint will just chip, but fiberglass is more prone to cracking.

urethane is more difficult to paint. if urethane is painted incorrectly, this may cause the paint to "come off in layers" as opposed to chipping. urethane is heavier, but is more resistant to cracking and is more chip resistant.

for a very good article on urethane vs fiberglass, you can link here: https://celicahobby.com/feature/bodykits_faq.html thumbsup

The actual painting is probably the same, but urethane needs proper prep, which adds to the cost.

Urethane is a bit more to paint...

Here is something to think about though... I drive the 60 freeway several times a week. The 60 freeway is a long freeway with industrial companies on either side - heck, there is even mining at the top of the 60, for half of it until it switches to the 5.

Anyways - About a year ago, I was on the 60 with my second fiberglass Revmotion front lip and from nowhere, a board found it's way into my lane - it hit my car and shattered the fiberglass Revmotion beyond repair eek

Well, a few weeks ago, I'm traveling the same freeway with my Urethane Vizages kit and another board finds it's way into my lane - i hit it and nothing happens... when I get to the place i need to be at - I just find that the paint is chipped and everything else is just fine. I got out the $4 bottle of Toyota touch-up paint and fulled chipped areas... everything looks brand new again - like nothing ever happened thumbsup

I think it's better to have a Uretane SideSkirts than FiberGlass sideskirts... Less chances that you brake the side skirts over the speed bump.
P.S.SIR Isaac did you resive my message about the MTEC's?

Isaac, did you get your Vizage kit locally? And if so, where did you get it installed and painted? I'm thinking about getting that kit...

Urethane. And that's what I would recommend, just for the reasons that isaac detailed above.
