Well another horror story *sigh*

The lights I boght from this guy, well he will not respond to my emails about replacing the one light it so if you ever come across something being sold by 12voltz.net DO NOT purchase it from him..

My friend who works at UPS is just going to claim it for me grin

Searched for his auctions and it says that name doesn't exist. I tried it without the .net and he's got 0 feedback. Same guy?

Thanks for letting us know to look out for him, though.

Not true. Just gotta look for good sellers selling decent parts with good feedback.

Ebay only provides a place for people to buy/sell products. Whatever people get fucked over is because of the people selling/buying on Ebay, not Ebay itself.
It's kinda like blaming Ecelica for someone not coming through on a deal that was made in the buying/selling forum. It's up to the people to do their homework and use their judgement, and sometimes you'll get fucked.

do you mean the one light that you broke with your two left thumbs? i'm sure if you got a hold of this person he'd love to replace it...to your door...along with a basket of fruit and a "i'm sorry" card.

what he doesnt know wont hurt him, second if he made me pay half to replace it, shit I dont care..All he does is file a claim with UPS anyways so he gets his money back so why should he care what happend.Fact of the matter is, I am a very cautios buyer on ebay and this dude had a 98% positive feedback rating...I read every single feedback comment left on him good and bad and then decided to purchase..The Fact that now he is ignoring my numerous attempts to just get ahold of him for some sort of exchange with no success is bullshit..He was all but helpful before he had my money but know that he has it, he is non existent!!!!! And dont tell me that your such a good samaritan that you wouldnt atlest try this too rofl ... I felt like an Idiot for damaging the light but seeing as I know how this works (working with UPS for 2 yrs) I know he gets his money back no sweat so I figured why not.. So ya moral of the story is even after plenty of feedback research, those few complaints he did have, I ended up adding one more to his list... puke

I agree that ebay is not the problem, it is the sellers. I will refer to what I said in this thread about ebay

But ask yourselves this:

If ebay is so much cheaper, how is that possible? I think there are a few common reasons why things are cheaper on ebay:

1) It is a cheap knock-off (no guarantee of quality)
2) It is used (and possibly damaged and/or missing parts)
3) It is stolen

I'd rather not take my chances with any of those, but I think if you're willing to take the risk, sometimes you can get a good deal.

Feel free to give me your opinion, but I think an intake (either cold air or short ram) is just a pipe and nothing more. That does not require any huge amount of engineering. I think it's fine to make one out of PVC for yourself, too. It may be true about the harmonic frequencies of the tube are taken into account so that standing waves form. However, keep in mind that an engine runs at many different frequenices. Even so, the signifigance of this to the power gain would be negligable, with the main effect being non restricted air flow. I would imagine that they could sound differnt at different rpms.
I not an expert though. Pros to a brand name would be quality and the coolness factor. I personaly think it's pretty cool to make your own stuff though.

PS. eBay is good. I've spent and made thousands of dollars on eBay with no problem ever.
