Hey guys, I have two led spot lights velcroed onto the compartment holder at the top of the middle dash. They basically give the middle of my dashboard a nice soft blue ambient light. I want to get rid of these because they are extremely visible.

What I want to do is replace it with a small neon tube that will attach to the bottom of the compartment area. However, here is my problem. A neon tube lights the area in every direction. I need some sort of cover that will cover the top of the neon. This way the light will only be pointing down on the dash. I was thinking of getting small LED bars but Im afraid the lighting will come out spotty and wont give the ambient look Im looking for.

Any ideas? Is there something I can use which is better? Im not looking for bright lighting, just a nice dim blueish ambient light.

I dont think that would look very good...Im looking for a nice looking way to do this. And I would think the light would still be able to escape the electrical tape.

I thought of this for my footwell neons. But it didn't work too well. So instead I taped off the neon except for the back and used white spary paint. Then I just took off the tape. Looks nice and clean and reflects well.

I'm gonna take your little Civic. Dust it off. Turn it sideways and stick it straight up you candy A*s.

The back of your neons are pointing up or down? What I mean by this is does the white side face the pedals? Do you think black spraypaint would work too? Im trying to get this as sleek as possible.

I used white paint because it was more reflective that other colors. I don't think that black woudl reflect the light as much.

The white is on the back side of the neons. It is on the side that faces up to the roof and the open part is faceing down to show on my feet.
