Is everyone else's stock skirts that yucky black plastic? Has anyone gotten them professionally painted yet? Tired of seeing how crappy mine looks.

To answer your question, unfortunately yes. Sorry i havent heard personally of anybody painting them, maybe and most likely somebody else has on these hurr' forums.

the skirts on silver celicas r made out of a gray plastic, the color looks like it matches but its actually a different shade, the skirt is not painted

well anyways... i've seen silver celica's with black skirts. I was just sayin that it looks good from the factory in his case.

i also think they look crappy (cheap, if you want another word for it).

but personally, i wouldn't paint them. you'd have to order the factory toyota paint if you wanted it to match decently..and that'll set you back a few bucks (it's not really THAT expensive...i just don't think its worth it). if you are very concerned about it..i'd just look into buying a kit. OR you can do the paint, i just don't recommend it.

just buy like a wingwest sideskirt or other kinds. thats what i did,i brought a buddy club side and it looks way better than stock.

you guys are talking about the factory side molding, right? sideskirts reminds me of the side rocker panel from the action package...

how's the alignment with the rest of the underside car body? i know ww and the trd skirts are not that low, but they are still lower than stock just the same.

yea, the black or gray plastic thing that is where the sideskirt goes...it's basically a sideskirt

Having the stock rocker plastic's painted was one of the first things I did, It finished the car off and makes it look a little lower. here's an old pic
