How much work would it take to put a six speed transmission with a vvt-i engine? Is that even possible? I'm just wondering cause the GT DESPERATELY needs a sixth gear. Most of you should know what i mean. Thanks

with the money it'll cost, might as well take the loss of trading your current celi with a 6 sp.
Six Speed
Oh Yeah

I have a 6 speed GT One of the benefits of a european celica. You pay twice as much as a us celica, but you get 6 speed

it'll be about $2-$5 just for the installation, and it will take about another $2-$3 thousand for the parts. it's expensive, but its a great show mod . it should also increase your times slightly over those of regular GT models.

I guess it's not my thing . . . I just take the loss of depreciation and trade it for that kind of money, might as well do an engine swap

Thanks... i figured it would be an ungodly amount of money to do. The way i figure though is that if one turboed a gt, which would go well cause of the lower compression ratios, a six speed might make a little more... uh need a word maybe "pep".
