Could some one hook me up with some literature on the TRD headers. Where I can get them, how much, and what kind of gains they produce? On a side note, I heard that the original down pipe off the original headers was the 2-1 part of the 4-2-1 header. Is that true?, and if so, would it make more sense to replace the down pipe, so that it would go 4-1-1 with an aftermarket header and not 4-1-2-1 (keeping the stock down pipe)? And lastly, which brand of exhaust wrap is the best to put on your headers, and how much?

I know this is alot, but any info y'all can give me would be greatly appreciated grin

TRD Headers are expensive, as much and often times more expensive then the Trial Header. If you have enough money for the TRD header, just go with Trial, which can be found here ----> http://www.i-m-racing.com/trialheadcel.html

$875 here: http://jscspeed.com/celica/exhaust/trd_header.htm..it's not in stock so you probably have to wait 3 weeks for a special order.

$869 here: http://www.suprastore.com/trdhetoce20.html there is 1 currently in stock and then suprastore.com will not offer it anymore.

i believe the trd header is of the 4-2-1 design.

i would seriously look into getting the trial header, instead though. its cheaper and gives better gains. the trial header has a 4-1 design.

you can buy the trial header for $795 here: intensepower.com: trial header for celica [intensepower.com]

other than that, unless you need a header badly, i would just wait for dc motorsports to release there. supposedly it does better than even the trial..and will most likely cost half the price. it's your $$, do what you want. but i suggest being smart with it.

wow eek, y'all weren't kidding about the price of the TRD headers. Why the hell would toyota price their aftermarket parts so much higher than that of their competitors (but thats another post)? Anyway, is there a projected date for the release of the DC headers? And, secondly, are there any aftermarket down pipes for the celica GTS?

the trd is so expensive because they are jdm (japanese market only)...so they have to ship it here. also, not many were made so the rarity factor comes in.

the trial is also expensive becasue it is also jdm..so you have to ship it from japan OR you have to pay the supplier who already got it shipped from japan.

the dc motorsports header is due out this month--maybe early february. it should be around $400, maybe less.

and as of now, there are no aftermarket downpipes made for the celica thumbsup
