it's both

Every set of tire I've had lasted 20-25K

First two were yokohama's and my current is ecta supra 712 which I hate.

Read the tread wear number when you go shop for them next time

it really matters if you have something soft like a z rated tire, those go quick.

On my 3rd or 4th depends because I go 1 set for winter and 1 for summer. Check this a couple of months ago >> Replacing tires?

yup. the softer the tire rating, the faster wear will be. the harder the tire rating, the less it will rare.

soft tires grip better than hard tires (so perfomance is better), but hard tires last longer thumbsup

I've got probably under 5K miles on my yokos & they still look new, eventhough I drive hard. Like trog said, you just gotta get 'em rotated thumbsup

if you don't you'll get cupping in the rear

good idea: rotate tires

bad idea : use concrete blocks for tires

I have about 24K on my tires, time to renew.

Kumho 712's, beans doesn't like them, but I LOVE them.

Very grippy. Awful in the rain/snow but what do you expect from an ultra performance SUMMER tire wink

I just got Kumho 711's on my 17's. The last one's made it about 9 months. $80 a pop wan't bad though, out the door, too. Free balance and rotate for the life of the tire at Kauffman Tire (only in 4 states right now).

not really, with technology on the rise today and the new materials we're using in our high performance tires, they are lasting just as long, if not longer than low performance tires.

just make sure you guys rotate your tires every 6k-8k miles, check your tire pressures every week, if not every 2 weeks, alignment every 10k miles or so, or when you get new tires/wheels, and make sure those tires are balanced!

this will ensure proper tire wear to get your money's worth!
