Is there an intake out there that can be switched off from cold air to not. One that just has a cold air adaptor, that I can keep off during rainy seasons and on during the summer. If so what's a good preference? Suggestions?

Just get an Injen or AEM CAI. Or an Injen shortram if your really concerned. I suggest Injen CAI. The gains are negotiable, but the sound is ballistic.

you have to completely submerse your intake in water for it to hydrolock.
Just don't drive through huge puddles, and there won't be a problem.
To have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation To know even one life has breathed easier This is to have succeeded.

FYI I live in the moutain areas up here, on a half paved half dirt road that is full of puddles. At an elevation of 3,800ft where in fact we even get snow. ( iknow everyone's idea of SD is sunshine and beaches) I dont think it's that much of a bad Idea to have a multi-purpose intake, it would be nice to have that option if need be.

Get an Injen SRI if you're really concerned.

hahaha... "turn the cold air off" lol
sorry... i had to.
you live in SD, it rains like 4 inches a year here... you'll be fine. where do you find that swtich at.. i was lookin all over for it. just get a short ram bro, enough gains with the same noise, and 100% safe. dont even take the risk of any hydrolocking since ur concerned. and there is no intake the way you described, at least none i heard of. you could use the CAI at summer and take it off winter
