Anyone who has purchased the fiberglass A-pillar from TheLostRican...it's a great product but the holes are way too freaking small for the gauges it says it fits. It's no prob, I'm working on sanding it but I've only done one hole so far. Any ideas on how I could speed this S of a B sanding job up?

that hole looks big enough to fit a freaking apple in it but it's still not big enough to fit my gauges!

My gauges are pretty standard size. Haha, I'm just bitching cause I'm lazy I guess. I realize it makes more sense to have a smaller hole in the fiberglass design to accomodate whatever gauges you are using. I don't have a dremel though frown just sandpaper and a very repetitive circular motion...maybe this a-pillar is gonna see my "Oh!" face...oh, oh

When working on anything it's always good to have the right tool. If you have a router it might speed things up, but be careful not to go further than you need. Also one thing you might be able to try; there are drill attachments that look like a cylinder with serrations on it to drill large holes, very helpful.

Knowing the path and choosing the path are two different things.

I've test fitted the pillar...fit's awesome. Piece is a full fiberglass replacement for the factory A-pillar. It is primed and ready to paint. Here's a direct link to the site I bought it from...cost is $65 with free shipping.

That would be a bitch. I just got mine installed at speedtech ( i am from calgary too) but i used the autometer dual gauge pod. I would just get the gauge pod i got if i were you. its only $30 at mopac and it looks awsome. If you trim that thing too much it looks like the gauge will sit wierd.

I used a dremel to sand the holes bigger to fit my AC gauges. It took only ten minutes. thumbsup

I'll have painted pictures of my A-pillar within a day or two. I'm going with a gunmetal color for my interior pieces...this is the color shown on my gauge cluster thing, but the lighting is shitty, sorry. I'll post the pics up as soon as it's done.
