confused
i bought one today at the honda dealership
when i try to screw the antena in, it seems as tho it doesn't fit. there's this black rubbery thing on the celi that blocks the thred. (i have 2000 gts). and the screw on the s2000 antena is shorter than the stock antena of the celi. any suggestions?

Same thing happened to me. I know what you mean when you say "the black rubbery thing". I just kept it on there, just get the antenna on fairly tight and it will look fine, only you will notice it fits kinda awkwardly.

just go ahead and screw it all the way in, you will get the exact same reception as what you get with the stock antenna

Just push down as hard as you can, you should catch the first few threads. Be sure to use LocTite to avoid it falling off or being stolen.

well, one thing i notice is that the lenght of the s2000 thred is as big as the beggining of the hole on the celi's antena input where there's NO thread...like 5-8 mm...so even when i screw it, it just doesn't "grip" the thread
wtf

if it's still in decent condition, try selling it. as you probably know Honda dealerships in Canada charge $47 for that antenna so if you are able to get some money back that would be good.

it will fit, you jsut gotta push down really hard while you screw it in. it seems like its too short, but eventually it will catch and screw in. just push down hard and turn

confused Mine screwed in no problem, just like tons and tons of other people on this board.

Do you have the eletronic telescoping antenna? Cuz it won't work with that base.
