Alright im sure its probably pretty simple but I was wondering if anyone could give me like a step by step instructions for hooking up neon to a switch THANKS!

First connect them so they work.
Then cut either the + wire or the - wire and connect both ends to a switch.

open -> neon off
closed -> ne-ON

a switch has two prongs on the back, put the wire from the power source to one of them, and another wire from the other prong to the neon.

so you cut the cig adapter off from the neon?

there are three prongs on a switch
one is for power
one grounds it
the other is power to the source

no... 2 prongs

a switch is just something that completes, or breaks the curcuit... there is no ground.

there are 3 unless you have a swtich without a ground most house swtiches have a ground but not to sure about cars...learned it in high electrical trades thumbsup

ATTENTION. Make sure that your neons are in a "Parallel" circuit. If they Arent, then they will loose voltage. Here' s an example.
