The dealer installed these rubber strips on the doors and wheel wells, I suppose for protection. I hate them and want to remove them. Does anyone know if they are put on with adhesive or if I can just pull those babies off without damaging the paint confused

i would heat up one part for a while then pull to test and see if it is adhesive. better safe than sorry.

Yeah, you can just rip em off. They're glued on. It's kinda like a weather-stripping that protects you car from and dings and such when you open your doors. (It's also supposted to look cool. I think it sux!) You shouln't hurt the paint at all, but it'll probably leave a little glue behind; just use a damp towel with warm water.

you can pull them off and the only thing they may do is leave behind some adhesive...so use spot remover to get rid of it. No need to heat that stuff.

any suggestions about what 'spot remover' to use? I was told Goo Gone was bad.

i would leave them on the doors... the wheel wells are kinda dumb, but the doors are useful, for that one time that one of your dumb friends accidentally flings the door open into another car (speaking from experiance), ine aren't from the dealer, i put them on later. but they aren't glued on at all, they should just pull off. you will probably have to buff where they were to get rid of the marks they leave.
