JL is good but, i looked at the two choices you have listed and i would reccommend the pioneers for the price to performance ratio. You would need, in order to run the Pioneers, an amplifier that gives 500Watts RMS x2 At 2 Ohms. The JLs you have listed there are only rated at 300 Watts RMS. All in all, If you want more of a booming sound, lean toward the Pioneers, if you want a tighter sounding bass, lean toward the JL.

One other thing i forgot to mention is the fact that the JL's are only avaliable in Dual voice coil models. If you pick those up, wiring and amplification might be a slight bit trickier. One thing that the EC.com installations guides does not mention about dual voice coil subs is the fact that you can also wire a Series AND parallel circuit on one sub. Which if you'd like i could illustrate for you. Anywho, both setups are good. Bass is good!

like Eyger said, the Pioneer will give you a really good boom punch to the bass..i have heard them and have heard Alpine before and they are great!

Haven't heard JL really, but I know they are good. grin
