Looks awsome eek I have the same paint and body kit as yours but mine doesn't even come close to looking as good as that!

Got a question about the hood though...If your car is left in the rain how wet does the engine and everything else get, becasue the vent in front of the scoop looks like it would let a lot of water in. Wouldn't that be a bad thing for everything electrical under there?

Water will not hurt the engine unless the air filter get submerged... I don't know how much water gets in because I just got it today and my car never see's the rain...

Yeah, I think before this spring I am going to have them removed and then just have the windows blacked out...

It'll look much cleaner that way.

Also, might wanna try some black paint on the screws.

First off they arn't even real screws... I don't know why APR even put them on there...
I was thinking that when I take my wheels in to be powder coated I will be taking those screws and the grill out of my invader hood. VIS just spray paints it black and it looks like it will peal very easily...

That car is going to be outrageous with dark wheels. A carbon fiber splitter like the one Moderator Tony has on his bumper would really bring the front together with the other Carbon Fiber accents. Nice work. thumbsup

the flames on the windows are nit viynl, they are made out of reflective window tint. yoU can see through them just like chrome lensed sunglasses. when i do take them off though i will not put anymore graphics or viynl on my car at all because i am going for the clean and stelthy look. here is my todo list

black wheels
new window tint
13 inch bid brakes
front carbon fiber splitter
sf turbo

oh and my next mod is already being shipped to me. you will not believe this one... full diagnostic setup with a brand new dell laptop and running it through my indash tv so i can watch all the motors perameters while i race...

Very nice, not digging the graphics indeed.
I love the rest.

Did you put the c/f hood on yourself?
I ordered mine and it will be in in about 3 to 4 weeks (shipping to the netherlands).
How did you make the holes for the pins?
I understand it's easy to damage the hood if you drill for the pins

I had a shop put the hood on for me and yes putting on the hood pins is very hard and you have to be very carful. First you drill holes in the thr front beam of the car for the pins. then you have to drill through two layers on the hood for the pins to go through but, you also have to drill other holes so you can put the locking clips on the back of the screws that hold the locking piece on the hood. This step you never hear about because it is a bitch. The guys at the body shop that did mine were ready to kill me when I showed up to get it. But they deceided to rape me on the installation charges instead... They did a great job so I guess I cant complain... It looks perfect...

youll get a couple of drops on the front plastic engine cover, but hardly any water enters... you might have a little build up where the hood slopes into the reverse scoop.

Why did you get a elaborate carbon fiber hood that WEIGHS as much as or if not more than a factory hood?

The point of carbon fiber pieces is to be LIGHTWEIGHT. Not to be showy.

Ever see a hood like that on a JGTC car? No, becasue the carbon fiber was painted over because it is a single layer with none of that gloss and UV protectant coating on it.

A lot of people just like the look of Carbon Fiber hoods..they might not be getting it for the weight reduction.

For your info the invader hood does weigh less than the factory but, I got it mainly for show... The nitrous is for the go... Anyway I checked your profile and there is nothing there.. What do you have? Just asking...
