OK so i have 2 10" Rockford Fosgates in my trunk. Everytime i turn them on and use them I get rattling in my trunk. I know this is probably just because of all the plastic but would a closed box like where the two subs are behind plexiglass be better then just a plain ol' subwoofer box? Any other ideas i am open to. Thanks!

if you dont already have one, buy a sub box that has two holes on top wiht tubes going down, it will minize the thrust of the subs going forward and dispurse it through the tubes as well, just air basically, but not only will you get less rattle, since the subs are more dispersed the bass sounds cleaner too, you can also get padding inbetween areas that rattle, i.e...when i first got my subs, there was a small rattle that would get louder on every bass boost, i noticed that it was my friggin license plate, so i got some sticky tack to hold it down so that it wouldnt rattle and that went away...just be creative

Dude...haha i'm sorry but ur wrong...if you use a ported box ur not gonna get a cleaner bass. Yes it will be louder but it will not be a clean bass...

dynamat the truck will eliminate most of the rattling but for the hardest hitting bass use a bandpass box in a hatchbox

i couldnt afford dynamat after i bought my subs so i just stuck a few sponges where the rattling is coming from. Cheap way to go but hey it works.
