yess!!! finally. Are they wobbly? How is it opening and closing? Do you have to push up on them to go up? Do they seem to hold up good? thanks.
NICE
very nice, but they look a little weird from the frontal veiw. as if theyre not straight. maybe the car is parked on a slant.

thats what i was thinking but if you looked at it very hard, even if it's on a flat surface, i don't think it's even.
the passenger side just doesn't look like it's open all the way I think.
kick ass!! did you pur them on urslef?
The car is on a hill so thats why the look uneven. I also have the hinges so that the driver's side opens as up as they can and then the passenger side is set to open out a little more so people have room to get in.
I also added a vid to the first post!

Yes, my father and I did the entire install! It was pretty fun. Annoying to have to take the bumper, headlights, and then finally the fenders off though.
The hinges were easy as cake to put on. All the holes lined up perfectly! after that it was just setting how the doors openned and closed!
So is it wobbly because you opened it real slow. Can you make a vid of you closing it? After seeing it, i'm in for the GB
^I'm having someone make the video smaller so I can post it! It's a side angle of me openning and closing the doors!
lol.. MORE VIDS MORE VIDS!
what did you use to cut/roll the fenders??
and do you have pics of it rolled?
where you cut and what you cut
iam interested in these and want to do it myself
Here is the best pic I could get of the fender:
Instead of rolling the fender, I just cut out most of the inner fender which you can see in the pic. It was much easier then rolling the fender!
did you make an install guide during the process? how difficult was it on a scale from 1-10
they look great, i love them!!
congrats on getting them, i bet you're stoked
^I was unable to make a guide because I left my camera at home (we did the install at my dad's bodyshop). As for difficulty, I would say maybe a 4. The hardest part is trying to get the bumper, headlights, and fenders off. Then rolling the fenders of course. You can leave the doors on the car during the install, but you will need to have someone hold the door up or you can tape the door up!

are the hinges rubing on the fender
or would it rub if your not careful
^On the dirver's side, we did not cut the fender down far enough so it does rub a little bit, but very minimal. I am going to fix that next weekend when I install my Kaminari kit (if it gets here in time!)...
As long as you roll the fender (or cut it in my case) far enough down you will have no problem with rubbing.
in the movie, it looks like you don't have to put the door up to get out. It opens far enough where you can get out of easy and this is very good for a daily driver.
this makes it even better.
^ lucky bastard... lol. is the kam kit authentic?
^It's tight and the whole getting in process will take a little bit to get used to. You have to go in from a slight angle, but my car is my daily driver and I'm not really worried about getting in and out.
I added another vid to the 2nd post...

I thought you were getting the veilside kit?
^ I had a Replica Veilside kit, then was gunna buy an Authentic Veilside kit, but at the last second I changed my mind and bought a Kaminari kit.
Oh What made you change to kam, The reason me asking is I am waiting on my authentic veilside ffgt kit. Should be here in two more weeks, Cant wait.
Well, I saw Immo's car and I saw the Silver Kaminari Celica with the VIS Invader hood in VooDooGTS's video and fell in love with the Kaminair and Invader hood combo. I also have the Kaminari wing with Carbon Fiber blade on the way...
^no the is very little wobble. It also really depends on how you have the hinges set. If you have them set to where they open a lot before the go up then there will be more wobble. I have mine set so they go up fairly quickly (I let the passenger side open further, so that my GF wouldn't bitch about not having enough room to get it). On the driver side there is no wobble at all since I have the hinge set to go up as soon as it can.
i notice that you held the door all the way up on both movies. Do you have to carefully move it up that slow? Is there a way just pushing it up and it will go up byitself like trunk shocks?
^The shocks won't take it all the way up, but you do have to push just a little. After the door is about half way up I hardly push at all. I am still getting used to how the doors open and that is why I am holding until the door goes all the way up.
nice
that is so f-ing sick
how high will the shocks lift the door on their own?
how much??? man, if you can get them for other cars too, i bet i can have my entire team buy them, helping out your GB
Damn, your car looks sweet now, i cant wait to see it kam'ed out
great! finally got it done eh... well count me in this deal...
Lambo's are so friggin' nice! And with a kit on, your car will be sweet!
Thoes are hella nice
What kind are they?

They are made by Tenrai and then imported to the USA from Japan. This is the same kit I have the GB going for...
The whole car is sexy
that's nice
very tempting...
..ooooo me likes!!!!
why does it look like that both sides dont open evenly
could it be the angle of the pic

The passenger side door opens out a little more than the driver's side does. I did this because my GF was bitching about not having enough room to get in. The car is also on a hill, which makes it look a little worse.
Does anybody know of a shaved lambo door kit? I saw a celica at a car show with automatic lambo doors and no door handles. Now that is hot. Beep Beep, Pssssss - lambo doors up.
Any way we can mod a regular shaved doors kit to fit the lambo hinge?
Oh, 1 more thing... are the fenders welded on? I had my bumper off and saw weld spots. Any instructions on rolling/cutting a fender. And do you have pics of the doors closed and the fender gap from rolling? Or do you just roll something on the inside...
PS, make sure im down for the GB
^The fender is rolled on the inside which does not effect the gap or the fender. My Fender is not welded on...
a question on spacing on between the fender and the door.
when you installed the kit,is the fender and the door align(door popping out
from the fender) lets say, if you place a ruler in between the fender and
the door, is it flush. you know what i mean?
thanks
^My fenders and doors are flush...
damn, that looks hot, my car is on its, we kinda have the same vision lol, my new rims and tycs are here next week and im planning on gettin a carbon fiber hood...and i was debating on lambo doors but damn it looks hot, good job bro
who makes some that open all the way up to 90 degrees
who makes some that open all the way up to 90 degrees
GT-FACTORY.
With the wobble on the doors, do you feel that with moderate force the hinges/doors would break or damage the fender?
I'm asking this because my celica is also a daily driver (for now) and I sometimes drive people in and out of my car (friends/family/coworkers) and I don't want to have to worry about them breaking or damaging my doors/fenders.
For a guy in my situation, how risky (from 1 - 10) would you rate having these doors on my car? Thanks
I'm interested in the GB, but I live in Canada, would the shipping (included in the price) be extra or just the same because they are being imported from Japan and exported to USA/CANADA?
Oh, I got my veilside kit a few weeks ago!
AWESOME
I really appreciate any feedback, thanks.
