Does a tranny cooler and oil cooler help in performance? Is it hard to install the tranny cooler?

well to answer your question it doesn't really give you horse power gains but will keep your car's oil at an optimum lubrication temp which will elongate your performance period on hot or cold days. since oil reaches it's max lubrication ability at around 200-210 degrees, this is what the oil cooler will maintain the oil temp at because at full warm up in daily driving your oil temp is about 230, higher is weather is hot. so basically it will stop you from losing horsepwer on hot days. grin

oh yeah i forgot to mention that i almost got my hands on a TRD oil cooler fro $260 but the guy that was going to buy it from got jacked. so that sucked ass! fucken theives [Mad] [Mad]

An oil cooler is a good mod for those of you who take your celica's on long road trips. like if you took you celi to vegas from So Cal your oil would be nice an cool, especially for our four-bangers. V-8's have no problem. oh, and an oil cooler will prolong your engine life. thumbsup

hmm...not really sure but i can guesss that your gears can get hot from quick shifting and down shifting. but i've only heard of automatic transmission coolers. so yeah since your gears do move and shift quickly at full throttle then your oil should heat up quickly fromthe friction so maintaining the oil temp should keep wearing of the gears minimal.
