i have aftermarket 17" rims.

this morning, i had a flat. after i jacked up my car, i was trying to get the rim off, but i couldnt, because the factory wrench and the key kept slipping off whenever i tried to loosen the lug nuts. trust me, i have done this lots of times.

is there a better way to take the lug nuts off? like a better wrench or a tool? how do you guys with aftermarket rims do this?

impact wrench?

what kind of nuts are we talkin about here?
the tuner ones with the hex in the center, or a different key pattern?

if it is just the tuner lugs, i hear you can pop those off with the 1/2" drive piece of a socket.

i am talking about the ones that Discount Tire Co. put on.

they have different key patterns so a wheel key is required.

Do you have the wheel key? I use a torque wrench. Much better than anything else, but I don't have a wheel key or wheel locks because I don't need it around here.
