Celica Store 1979 Toyota Celica For Sale

For sale here is a one owner 1979 Toyota Celica ST Coupe with a 5-speed manual transmission, power steering, brand new tires, all original (except the engine and the radio, per below), excellent overall condition, runs great, fun to drive and regularly attracts compliments from onlookers. Recently, this sports car has been substantially improved mechanically, most notably with a used high-quality low mileage replacement engine, identical to the original engine, 2.2 Liter 20R Four Cylinder. When the engine was replaced, the highly rated local Des Moines auto repair shop replaced many more parts, including new brake master cylinders, new distributor, new spark plugs/wiring, new belts/hoses, new battery, new exhaust, new gas tank/gas pump and more. All the dashboard gages and clock work fine. Years ago, the original radio was replaced with a new AM/FM Cassette Player (Clarion brand), which also works fine. The body has been repainted with the same original red color once, which was about 1990, therefore the car could use a new paint job now, although it does still look good (refer to the pictures). There is minor rust near the wheel wells which could be addressed along with the new paint job. This Celica has been garaged since it was new.
