We are a family-run business located in beautiful southwest Wisconsin. We have a large yard and are able to keep late and new-model vehicles. What we don't have in stock we are typically able to order and have within just a few days. We strive for personalized customer service and excellent part quality.
Fitment and compatibility: Please review our fitment and compatibility section under the heading, This Part Will Fit These Makes And Models With These Options.Factory interchange is always listed if available for the specific part. If an interchange is not available one will not show and in that case we recommend an exact year/model fit or verification with VIN# and research. Please be sure to verify fitment prior to purchase or contact us for verification. Please be sure when contacting us you have the item number and information pertaining to your vehicle. Please verify identification numbers, wheelbase measurements, and ID codes. We can check fitment with your VIN#, please message us prior to purchase for verification.

Our main contact method is messaging. We prefer it, it's faster and it provides a written record for your protection and ours. You will receive a response the fastest using that method as it's checked first. We try to answer all messages within 24 hours but please note during extremely high volume times your request will be taken care of in the order received and that may take up to 48 hours.

Payment
We only accept payments via Managed Payments. Please keep in mind your item will not be dismantled or worked on until payment has been received and cleared.
By law, we charge sales tax for items when legally required to do so. collects and remits sales tax when legally required on our behalf. Additional shipping charges, especially for LTL shipments, may need to be invoiced separately via PayPal.
Any residential, lift-gate, limited access, or any other freight related fee must be paid for prior to the item shipping.
Shipping
Our default shipping rates are for the continental 48 US states only via Fed-Ex (Primary Shipper), UPS, USPS, Spee-Dee, RL Carriers, and similar LTL providers. An extra charge may apply for Alaska, Hawaii, APO, Puerto Rico Other US Territories. No international LTL shipments will be made. Global shipments will be done through the Global Shipping Program.
Standard handling time is 1-3 business days (Monday-Friday) not including the day of purchase and/or payment whichever occurs later for both freight and non-freight items. That means if an item is purchased on the 1st but not paid for until the 3rd the handling time count will not begin until the 4th. Standard shipping time on non-freight items is 1-5 days depending on location. Feel free to contact us for an accurate time frame on any certain part or if you are in a time crunch and want to see if we can help as shipping and handling charges vary per part type. Unless otherwise noted, the buyer pays to ship. Even if an item is shipped via free shipping the buyer still may be responsible for return freight. Feel free to ask for an exact shipping charge prior to purchase.
Local Pick Up Items:
Items are not immediately ready for local pick up.We will contact you when the item is ready for pick up. Items may need to be dismantled or transferred from a warehouse. Once the item is ready for pick up, we will provide our pick up hours and address. The handling time shown on the listing is a good estimate of when the item will be ready for pick up, but we work as quickly as possible to get your item ready for you.
Freight Items:
We will not ship freight items and some larger or fragile parts outside of the 48 US states. For large items that must be shipped via Freight Truck (i.e. engines, transmissions, rear axles, large sheet metal items, bumpers, fenders, rear seats, large front seats), a business/commercial delivery address is required for the stated shipping price and a telephone number is required. The delivery address must also have a loading dock or a forklift for unloading. Additional residential, liftgate, and/or limited access fees may apply. Residential fees range from $50-$75. Liftgate Fees range from $50-$75. Those charges would be billed via PayPal. The item however would not be shipped until the additional charges are paid. Business/Commercial addresses in the Midwest may be less expensive to ship, please reach out to us prior to purchase for an exact quote.We can also arrange for you to pick up your freight item at your local freight terminal.
For an accurate residential freight quote, please contact us before your purchase be sure to include the destination zip code. If for some reason our shipping cost is greatly over this estimate, we reserve the right to ask for additional funds or an alternate ship-to address.
If an LTL item arrives damaged and is signed for/accepted it now belongs to the buyer and it will be their responsibility to return the item. If the item is refused due to damage the seller can easily work with the carrier and get the buyer refunded. In the event an LTL item is not accepted, refused, or is not allowed to be delivered to the buyer due to any reason, the buyer will be charged return freight and a re-stocking fee. Buyers must be willing to answer their calls and discuss the delivery of their item(s) with the carrier.
Shipping Deadlines:
We will process every order in the order it's received, an order is not received until it is paid for in full. Our business hours are from 8:00 am-4:00 pm M-F. Business days are Monday-Friday and do NOT include Saturday or Sunday. Orders placed after 10:00 am CST cannot be guaranteed shipping that day (if that option applies to your listing). Handling time is typically between 1-3 days not including the day of purchase or payment whichever occurs later. All Non-Freight items will typically be sent via Fed-Ex, UPS, USPS, or Spee-Dee at our option. If you have a preference please reach out to us prior to purchase. Standard shipping time on small ground packages will range from 1-5 business days and will mainly depend on how close the buyer is to Wisconsin.
For freight items, standard handling time is 2 business days (Monday-Friday) not including the day of purchase and/or payment whichever occurs later. This is to allow time for pulling the unit if need be, testing, cleaning, and preparing the item for shipping. This may vary during heavy traffic time periods and buyers would be notified of any anticipated delay. Standard shipping time on LTL items is 3-7 days depending on the location of the recipient in relation to Wisconsin if a delivery appointment needs to be scheduled or not, as well as if the buyer is located in a limited access delivery area or not. The most common question we receive is how do we determine if the item can be shipped via standard ground or has to go by freight truck. Weights and dimensions vary so much within that part type that one item may be ok to go via FedEx but another may have to go via freight truck. For example, a front bumper for a Geo Metro will be much different than a front bumper for an F250. Standard rules state anything measuring over 165 using the formula (Height X 2 Width X 2 Length) will not be accepted for ground shipments. It will be too large and we will have to ship the item via freight truck. As well anything over 150 lbs will not be accepted via standard ground and would need to be shipped via freight truck. Oversize charges are implemented for items over using the same formula and if it's over 130 an ~$100.00 Oversize charge is applied. As well charges are based on dimensional weight, not actual weight. Using the formula (Length X Width X Height) if the item is greater than 5184 it would be divided by 166 to get the weight that will be charged for the shipment. Address corrections, delivery intercept, etc are all additional charges. That said we do our best to negotiate the best rates possible and pass those savings on to you. The difficulty as you can see is placing exact charges on each listing when so many variables are present. If you have any questions or concerns, please just reach out to us, we are happy to assist.
Returns
Fitment should be verified prior to purchase.Most parts we sell through Motors come with a 30-day money-back guarantee unless otherwise stated. Specific item information and warranty information is posted on the listing. If you have any questions regarding the guarantee please contact us prior to purchase. The 30-day period starts from the date on the invoice unless specific terms have been negotiated due to special circumstances. No labor warranty is provided, with no exceptions. Pre-installation maintenance items such as seals, fluids, gaskets, and clean-up products will not be reimbursed. A refund/exchange will not be given until the item is returned first, with no exceptions.
In the event a part sold with a warranty, fails to operate within the warranty period we will replace the part(s) with a functionally equivalent part if available or refund the part purchase price. No refund on deposits, unwanted, special order parts, or special cut items. No refund will be issued on an incorrectly ordered item unless the item is returned in the exact same condition it was received. A restocking fee may apply. If you have any questions about the warranty of your part, please ask prior to purchase. Please note used items will visually appear as used.
To return an item you must contact us via messaging and/or within the 30-day period to obtain an RMA number (return material authorization) and the item must be returned within that 30-day period unless other permissions are given. If an RMA# is not provided there may be a delay in processing the return.
Original shipping charges and return shipping charges are not refunded and are the buyer's responsibility. If an item is unwanted, ordered incorrectly, or not needed a 20% re-stocking fee may be assessed.
The return process works as follows: obtain an RMA number, and ship the item back to Gauger Son Salvage, Inc., 7692 Helena Road (PO Box 144), Arena, WI 53503. Include the RMA number, and a short note explaining the return.
LTL Shipments: Most powertrain items and body panels are shipped via LTL Carriers to ensure the item arrives safely and as they are often too expensive to ship with a standard ground carrier. In the event an LTL item is not accepted, refused, or is not allowed to be delivered the buyer will be charged return freight.
Warranty
Pictures: If a picture is not yet provided please just ask and one will be provided for you as soon as possible. A STOCK IMAGE OR GENERIC VEHICLE IMAGE(S) may be provided to show an example of the item being sold or the donor vehicle the particular part came from mainly for identification purposes. They are not reflective of the actual part or condition being sold. Item specifics, part grade, conditions, and options should be used to determine the condition. Some parts due to the location are very difficult to get pictures of if they remain on the donor vehicle such as; window regulators, flywheels, fuel pumps, and suspension parts. We will do our best to do so, however, other means of verifying it's the correct part such as VIN# comparison may be more feasible for both parties. We can also provide images prior to shipping upon request.
Parts Grading. A standard code system is used to communicate the condition and quality of a part between automotive recyclers, automotive repair shops, and insurers. Knowing how these codes are used will help you understand whether the part meets your expectations before you buy it and what you can expect from the part when you receive it.
A Grade The highest quality part. It is of low miles and/or exceptional condition for its age.A condition does not mean new or perfect it means the item is in great used condition. Visual flaws still may be present as the item is used. Condition grades are given by the seller in accordance with industry standards. This parts grade is subjective and is either directly given to a part by the seller or assigned automatically. If you are concerned please ask prior to purchase and we'll compare what you are expecting to the actual condition of the part. B Grade - The second level quality part. It is of average miles and normal condition for its age.Common used part visual blemishes most likely present. C Grade - The third level quality part. It has high miles and/or light damage. No Grade - A part that has not yet been graded.
This system was designed as a benchmark with certain understandings. The item is used, and most likely will NOT be perfect even if listed in grade A. For example, a part can still be grade A with normal blemishes such as surface rust, scratches, etc. This is still a subjective system and the parts grading system is standard with recyclers, body shops, and insurance companies, not consumers. Consumers often expect Grade A to be new, nearly new, very clean, or pretty. That is not the way this system was designed. Some items are also assigned an automatic parts grade based on mileage such as fuel pumps, oil pans, engines, transmissions, powertrain items,and suspension parts. Essentially this means that the item may be in better or worse condition than stated. For that reason, we request again if you have any questions you ask prior to purchase. We update condition grades as our inventory is updated, we also check the condition on the listing prior to shipping and will contact you if any major discrepancy is noted. We ask that you verify the actual condition versus what you are expecting to prevent any issues later. We are confident with pictures, interchange, and part detail information that we allow our buyers to be fully informed about the item listed and can purchase with confidence as long as the buyer reads the entire listing and fully understands the item is used.
Body parts such as fenders, front bumpers, hoods, quarter panels, and doors may have 3-digit damage codes such as 2D1, 6K1, etc. Please ask what that code means prior to purchase as they are standard recycler codes and the average consumer may not be familiar with this system.
