The orange on the new gauge kinda looks different from the old one, but retain the originality of it, and it is not as bright as the original gauge. It's now amber. I think it's nice, and I love the TRD sign on the gauge.

Looks great! I noticed the descriptions for this gauge indicate for GTS. Do you know if this can also be installed on a GT?

u could put them on a GT, but why would you want to? the GT doesnt have the same redline as the GTS and the same speedo as the gts. so you would have them on and not know exactly where everything is.

If the new TRD platinum face gauge is just an overlay like the AC reverse indiglo gauges are, i wonder if you put the ac reverse indiglo gauges under the TRD platinum face gauges would the TRD ones look blue. Of course this would only work if the TRD one are just overlays. U think?

Does anybody put out aftermarket gauge faces that have the redline at the fuel cut off (for '00 and '03)?

celicamix,
was the install easy? how long did it take? dumb question but does your odometer reset if you disconnect your gauges?

I really can't call the installation tough. It took me about 1 hour and 15 mins... I think I am below average on doing mods to my car. Anyways, I didn't want to mess up the speedometer, so I took every step cautiously.
The needles would not reset themselves. You will be the one to track everything down. But you can always use your VVTL-i to test whether you are off or not.
Good luck to you.

Looks good. I already have carbon fiber insert there, looks good to. Did the one from TRD have a sticky back you peel off to keep it in place? Mine did and the shit kept coming off because of the heat last summer. I ended up waiting until fall and supergluing the bastard on while it was mild. Hasnt come off yet, but has yet to get above 90 here in Charlotte.

celicamix,
actually i was referring to the odometer (miles driven on the car) not the speedometer. and yes, is there an adhesive backing (making it semi-permanent)?

You just had to jot down the speed and the rpm while you are driving... after putting in the new face gauge, try it to see if you are still in the same speed... say... as I recall, on 6th gear, at 3000 rpm, the speed would be about 68 mph...
