Hi all,

I’m wanting to replace a nonfunctional tach in my RA21 1974. Just curious if anyone has any pointers on doing this without damaging anything? Do I just need to pop the wooden trim, or do the screws mounting around the entire assembly need to come out as well? Just worried about damaging all this delicate plastic. 🤤

Hi all,

So I recently replaced my points in my 1974 RA21 Celica with a Pertronix unit and a 1.5ohm Flamethrower coil. I had it wired, red to input of ballast resistor, black to negative on the coil, black wire with yellow stripe to input of ballast resistor.

My question is this: do I leave the original black wire for tach signal connected to negative of terminal? Also, I have an unknown yellow wire with black stripe, any ideas on what this wire is for? Starter bypass? Tach signal?

Hi, I’m considering selling a 1974 Toyota Celica GT that’s been in our family for ~40 years. It currently needs a new battery, spark plugs, and inflated tires, but otherwise is in good shape. Any recommendations on a fair asking price? Pictures attached. Thanks in advance!
