I am thinking that maybe now that they droped the price to $180, the extra $80 is worth spending. But not at the previous prices.
Don't get me wrong, IPT has a very nice product (expensive, but nice). Like you said, though, they didn't change their price until after I got this one.
Normally I don't like any engine covers, including stock ones. It makes the engine look like Playmobil. But this TRD engine cover is really nice. Got to have that
Looks pretty good but the icing on the cake would be to get rid of your fuel rail and put in the stafford fuel rail.
Rob
he's right Evan, the Stafford rail does look sweet compared to stock - nice and polished. I am thinking about getting it to go with my polished intake and Hypermotive front strut bar. I think it will bring out the Carbon Fiber nicely
- Compatible with 1ZZ and 2ZZ powerplant - Center feed for better fuel distribution - Removal end caps (both ends) for use with return fuel system - Removable cap by center feed for use with a fuel pressure gauge - All hoses and fittings for easy installation to stock fuel line (near firewall) or with SF fuel system

I can't deny it looks much better than stock, but I'm not looking to modify any performance components as long as I'm under warranty
However, I'd like to see your engine bay once you get all that Carbon Fiber installed
Thanks for the info and the pix Sultan. I am thinking thats a must have for me too. Warranty is already spent!! Even if it wasn't I would get hassled probly with what I already did. Thanks again!!

looks great even. btw, how did it look with nothing covering the engine?
Horrible
Losing the plastic over the intake manifold and having the valve cover powdercoated or chromed would make it look nice. Adding the Injen spark plug cover thing and some red powdercoat would make it look awesome, and a lot, lot different than the normal VVTL-i plastic cover.
looks very good...big improvement over stock. agreed with earlier posts, not as good as IPT, but still, a big improvement. maybe sometime TRD will step up and make replacements for all the engine plastics, to compete more with IPT...that'd be nice

Nice greg! That came fast. I cant wait to see it in person, it looks sweet. I cant believe how fast the snow came. Last night I was with josh in cochranton, and half way from getting back it just let lose! I will prolly see you tommarrow or wednesday, if its not busy mind showing me your new addon?
finally got a nice day here, so I cleaned up the Celica and the engine bay some, so heres a pic. Thanks
Looks good greg, too bad the red turns out orange on camera heh. I see my handy work... lol, I see you in your Intake...looks like you have a tiny head.
for real, a fuel rail would accent the TRD cover nicely - are you considering this Evan?

The cover may be slighly small but it still looks way better than stock. Nice photos man.
Thanks...I'm happy with it. I really like the IPT stuff too, but at this point I got too many Performance mods to do to drop that much cash on it. I may do it one day tho...
looks tight, but does the heat shield for the injen sr go like that? i thought it went under the filter?
I have it turned that way for a couple reasons. For some reason the hood was too tight on it, actually pushed on it, and I couldn't seem to get it adjusted anymore. Also the logo is visible this way, which doesn't really matter, and the opening is facing the fan, which might help with cooler air in the summer, maybe? But the main reason was clearing the hood for some reason,...

Yeah, we even followed the directions too the T. For some reason there was quite a gap between the hood and the latch when it closed as far as it could. I happen to like how it turned out though, looks really sweet.
Seems like I found this 20 years too late lol. Got my first celica a few years ago and gone through 1. Now have a 1zz 5 speed, Saw this engine cover and love it but cant find much on it at all. Long shot in the dark on finding one but thought I should ask. Im still new to all this
