It was hot as hell today in So Cal, but it was a nice sunny day. Isaac and I managed to snap a few shots of the cars.

In the other thread he said he was thinking about it but decided to go with silver. I think it looks good [in silver], but I would've gone black, too.

Yup. Someone in a new Honda Civic Si already complimented on the new headlights when we were stopped at the light. And another Celica owner "chased" me down at a supermarket parking lot to take some pics. thumbsup

The headlight insert really makes the car stand out. Also, the new inserts tend to "direct" the light outputs. For example, with the DRL on, the lights shines through the two circular holes instead of going everywhere as with the stock ones. They are like two glowing oranage "eyes". Very evil looking. Then, you turn on the parking lights only, and they become blue eyes. grin The lowbeam didn't changed. My HIDs shines through perfectly.

Christian - I was going to go with black at first. But, I didn't know how it would look. And I didn't want to do the install over and over again. So, I played it safe and went with silver. I am very happy with the way they turned out.

That's OK, Roman. smile Like every appearance mod, some will like it, and some won't. It is not going to be everyone's cup of tea. Personally, I like it a lot, or else I wouldn't have it on. Teehhee... tongue grin

it looks different than the one in Taters sig... confused

I'd never do that to my car, but then again, I don't have any appearance mods so it would look extremely weird.

Congrats Tony wave

Yup. The one that Tater has cost $2000. He said that there would be no way to produce those in the US and be profitable. But, if you're willing shell out the $$$, he will make you one. I will stick with my new inserts. grin

Tony,

Those look awesome. So glad you chose to paint them silver instead of black. Does the paint match your car though. It looks like the silver on the inserts are a little bit darker then your car, but that could just be the light. Wow, i am so going to have to buy these now!!!!

I think the headlight housings also distort the true color of the inserts.

Jamey - the paint matches perfectly as you can see in this pic. The shop did an excellent job with the paint.

[Linked Image]

It does look a little darker because the clear cover has a slight tint to it. Also, the cover reflects the light a bit differently than without. If you're worried about that, than go with black or gunmetal to accent your Silver. But, personally, I like it the way it is. I am glad I went with silver.

I wish i knew about these sooner. My car is no longer Silver, and i don't know if the shop started to paint my car yet or not.

I havn't thought of a color scheme but i really want these damn inserts. I wonder how well they can match Skyline purple???? confused confused
